dataBASED.biz (formally Animart) started off over 30 years ago as design and marketing consultants. Times change and so did their core work. With the advent of computers it ended up being more about managing projects and documentation. Saying that a lot of design work is still done but all in FileMaker! Price lists, labels, POS, marketing and data sheets etc. as well as the usual monthly 'reports' that FileMaker is so good at.

Spreadsheets were a vast improvement on paper systems but never quite went far enough. Relational databases, bespoke ones, written for particular projects proved themselves time and time again in many varied situations. This led on to automating the whole department's admin systems. And often tended to grow and encompass the whole company's systems.

And that's where we are today. Our website shows the clients and range of projects where we have been able to help, and usually on a continuing basis.

Having worked with top management in SMEs and plcs, and in a number of sectors, our understanding of admin systems and requirements, creating briefs efficiently with clients and rolling out solutions and training staff are our strengths. We are well versed in farming out and managing the odd bit of super specialised xml, php, xlsx, java etc. needed to interface with other web applications and software interfaces.
