Claris Studio works alongside FileMaker. While FileMaker continues to manage and update the data, Claris Studio makes it easy to share and use the data with your team through responsive, secure views.

Claris Studio also lets you collect additional data through responsive web forms for customers, vendors, and other external audiences. You can deliver scalable browser-based experiences alongside the custom apps you've built with FileMaker.

How do I get Claris Studio?

Claris Studio views are web-based ways to display and collect data. You can create responsive forms, spreadsheets, kanban boards, galleries, and more that users can access through a web browser on any device.

These views provide flexible interfaces to interact with your data, whether it originates in Claris Studio or connected to a FileMaker solution.

Where is my data stored in Claris Studio?

Data collected directly within Claris Studio views is securely stored in the Claris Cloud. When Claris Studio connects to an existing FileMaker solution, the primary data remains within your FileMaker database, and Claris Studio acts as an interface to display and interact with that data.

What are hubs in Claris Studio?

In Claris Studio, a hub is a central place where a team manager groups and shares related views of data with team members. Hubs help organize collections of views for specific tasks or users, and the same view can be added to multiple hubs. When users sign in, they see only the hubs and views that have been shared with them.

Hubs also provide a useful way to create dashboards that help your team visualize data.

Can I control who uses Claris Studio?

Yes, you can if you're a team manager for Claris Studio.

Claris Studio lets you control access by managing user accounts and permissions. You can invite specific individuals to your workspace, assign them roles, and share only selected views or hubs with them. This ensures that only authorized users can see or interact with your organization's data.
