FileMaker Pro Delivers for Leading Postal Automation Company
With over 50 people and two sales forces strategically located
throughout the United States and Canada, Datatech is the leading
supplier of Postal automation products, including mail management
software and direct impression printers.
FileMaker is more than a database for Datatech; it's a universal
business application that enabled Datatech to automate virtually
every phase of their operations that were previously handled
manually. 'Now with FileMaker, an enormous amount of time is freed
up to devote to sales and customer service' says Corry Cassler,
software manager with Datatech.
'Creating forms and task-specific layouts is so easy with
FileMaker that anytime I come across a manual form, I convert it to
FileMaker which save our staff countless hours in just about every
area of Datatech's business,' she says.
Datatech's entire Software Division is driven by FileMaker Pro for
Windows over a TCP/IP network in a host of applications designed by
Cassler-- many with more than 25 layouts -- for tracking and
managing a substantial sales lead database, creating sales orders,
marketing reports, and routing phone messages. 'And with Datatech
on the verge of major new product launches, we are ready with
FileMaker Pro!' says Cassler.
FileMaker is also a wonderful compliment to Datatech's mail
management software. Some of Datatech's customers are also
FileMaker users and because FileMaker can print bar codes directly
to envelope, customers have the option of filtering and updating
their mailing list with Datatech's software, then porting it
directly to FileMaker for bar code printing 'which helps us fulfill
individual customer needs,' concludes Cassler.
