FileMaker Pro Proves Adept at Interior Design

  After Microsoft Access proved too difficult for end-users to customize, developer SOFTWARE by design, in Pasadena, California, chose to build its hospitality design application, INTERIORS by design, using FileMaker Pro for Windows and the Mac OS, the award- winning database from FileMaker, Inc. With FileMaker Pro as its foundation, INTERIORS by design manages the interior decorating process for large hotels and casinos, including wall and floor coverings, painting, artwork, and more. Currently, INTERIORS is being used to track some 4,500 decorator elements for hospitality design at the soon-to-be-opened Mandalay Casino in Las Vegas.
