In business for 25 years, Pro Sound serves a wide range of clients -- musicians, broadcasters, schools and churches, entertainment venues -- in short, anyone requiring a professional-quality sound system for business, institutional, or personal use. And the company stands behind its work. "When we started out," recalls owner Michael Krewitsky, "no one in our area was performing warranty repair services for pro audio products. We now have a full service and repair center performing warranty repairs for over 150 brands of professional music electronics. We also provide system integration services for our clients, as well as training and troubleshooting on any electronic components."

The entire business runs on FileMaker Pro, and has done since 1996. "We needed FileMaker to manage thousands of customers and thousands of products and services, and to bring them together," Michael declares. "FileMaker Pro has been cost-effective, scalable, and customizable, allowing us to keep track of and easily find the data we need to serve our customers."

The online capabilities of FileMaker Pro extend its value beyond the office -- giving Pro Sound's customers a fast and dependable direct link to the company. "They can now shop online with us, and we can focus on their specific interests," continues Michael. "We maintain a database of customer interests tied to each customer record, and soon we'll begin emailing on the basis of those interests." Pro Sound also maintains a database of the specific audio cable patch-panel connections for each client requesting this information -- information which can be printed out in label form to ensure that each connection is clearly identified, and which can easily be changed if connections are rearranged. All together, Pro Sound's databases contain more than 23,000 individual records. "I guess we're one big workgroup," says Michael, "with about 25 users sharing 31 databases!"

And the future looks promising too, as Pro Sound builds on its record quarter-century of first-class service. "We'll be growing with FileMaker Pro," predicts Michael, "particularly in integrating with Office in the next version -- and well beyond that too!"
