Vice President of Americas Sales

As Vice President of Americas Sales for FileMaker, Inc., a worldwide leader in information-management software, Keith Robinson leads the team responsible for all FileMaker sales in the Americas.

Robinson brings to FileMaker a 19-year record of success in software sales and general management. Most recently, he was vice president of worldwide sales for Counterpane Internet Security, helping establish the company as the leader in the emerging field of enterprise-scale managed security monitoring.

At Symantec Corp., from 1989 to 2000, Robinson held increasingly responsible executive positions. He was vice president and general manager of the Americas, and an executive staff member, from 1995 to 2000. His team of 1,200 employees grew annual revenue to more than $450 million in that time, and he created winning sales strategies to support an increased focus on enterprise customers.

Robinson also served as Symantec's vice president and general manager, Pacific Rim, opening the highly successful Symantec KK in Japan; and was general manager for Canada.

He started his career at Ashton-Tate Corp., the developer of dBase, where he held a variety of sales and marketing management roles from 1982 to 1989.

Robinson served on the Business Software Alliance (BSA) board of directors from 1997 to 2000. He holds an M.A. degree from the University of California at Los Angeles and a B.A. degree from Sheffield University, England.
